Japan Visa Application
Contrary to the previous news, Japan Visa is still required before visiting the Land of the Rising Sun.
Required Documents are the following:
- Passport (travel date atleast 6 months before the expiration)
- Birth Certificate (NSO Copy)
- Marriage Certificate (NSO Copy) – if married
- COE (Certificate of Employment)
- ITR (Income Tax Return)
- Bank Certificates
- 4×4 Picture (white background)
- Japan Visa Application Form (will be given by your processing visa agency)
- Japan Itinerary Form (will be given by your processing visa agency)
Our Japan Visa was processed by Reli Tours and Travel located in Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati City. The visa will be processed 7-10 working days. Unfortunately, Reli tours did not inform us that the visa is ready for pick up. We were waiting until the 10th day but nobody contacted us so we decided to call them on the 11th day to inquire regarding the status of our application. That’s the only time that we were informed that our passports were already at their hand.
JR PASS
What is JR Pass?
Japan Rail Pass is an economical way to travel in Japan . It is recommended especially if your itinerary includes to visit more than one region of Japan. Since we are planning to visit Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka, we decided to get one.
Where to buy JR Pass?
JR Pass is not available in Reli tours so we purchase our JR Pass in Universal Holidays Inc. also located in Dusit Thani Hotel. JR Pass Exchange voucher must be availed first from the country of origin, as this is pass is intended for foreign tourists only. Upon arrival in Japan, look for the accredited JR station office and they will issue you the actual JR Pass. Be reminded that the Exchange voucher is quite sensitive so extra care is required (please do not fold into half).
JR Pass is valid for 7 days, 14 days, 21 days. depending on your itinerary. There are also 2 Types – Ordinary and Green (much wider seat).
How much is the JR Pass?
The price of the JR Pass depends on the current Exchange Rate.. During the date of our purchase the rate of 7 days, Ordinary is around Php 11,056 (pikit mata, kelangan ma-maximize ang trains na yan). 🙂
